Data we collect
When you submit the demo request form, we collect:
- Full name
- Work email address
- Company name
- Website URL
- Target queries (optional)
- Free-text message (optional)
We use Plausible Analytics for anonymous audience measurement. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors. All data is aggregated and no information is shared with third parties. See Plausible's data policy.
Purpose and legal basis
We process this data solely to respond to your demo request and schedule a platform demonstration. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you voluntarily submit the form.
Third-party processors
Form submissions are processed through Formspree, Inc. (USA), which acts as a data processor on our behalf. Formspree is compliant with GDPR via Standard Contractual Clauses. See Formspree's privacy policy.
The website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., USA). GitHub may collect server logs (IP addresses, request headers) for operational purposes. See GitHub's privacy statement.
Audience measurement is provided by Plausible Analytics (Plausible Insights OÜ, Estonia, EU). Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and all data stays within the EU. No consent is required under GDPR. See Plausible's data policy.
We do not share your data with any other third parties, advertisers or data brokers.
Data retention
We retain form submission data for a maximum of 12 months from the date of submission. Data related to active client engagements is retained for the duration of the engagement plus 3 years for legal obligations.
Using the Storyzee application
When you create an account on the Storyzee application (the monitoring product), we process:
- Account data — your name, work email, password (stored hashed), and company name. Legal basis: performing our contract with you.
- Billing data — your subscription state and invoices. Card payments are processed by Stripe; your card number never touches our servers. Legal bases: contract, and our legal accounting obligations (invoices are kept 10 years as required by French law).
- Product data — the brands, competitors, markets and queries you configure, and the scan results and reports the application produces. This data is about brands, not individuals. It is kept for as long as your account exists, because monitoring value lies in history.
- Support and technical data — support requests you send, and technical logs (errors, security events) kept for operating and securing the service. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a reliable, secure product.
Where your data lives. Your account and product data are stored in the European Union (database hosted by Supabase, AWS eu-west-1, Ireland). The application runs on Vercel (USA) and payments on Stripe (USA); these transfers are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Processors we use for the application: Supabase (database & authentication, EU) · Vercel (application hosting, USA) · Stripe (payments, USA) · Inngest (scan scheduling, USA) · the AI engine providers we query on your behalf — OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, Perplexity, xAI — which receive only the brand-related search queries, never your identity or account data · OpenRouter (analysis processing). We do not sell data or share it with advertisers.
Deleting your data. Account deletion is self-serve (Account → Profile in the application): it cancels your subscription immediately and permanently erases your organization — projects, scans, reports, and login. This implements your GDPR right to erasure. Individual projects can also be deleted at any time.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict processing
- Port your data to another controller
- Object to processing
- Withdraw consent at any time
To exercise any of these rights, email contact@storyzee.com. We will respond within 30 days.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL): www.cnil.fr.
Cookie policy
This website does not use cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, Facebook Pixel, or any equivalent advertising tool.
The Storyzee application uses only strictly necessary cookies (login session). No advertising or tracking cookies — no consent banner is required.
We use Plausible Analytics for audience measurement. Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not track individual visitors. All data is aggregated and anonymous. No consent banner is required.
